I am infamous for not taking my own advice.
When I had my recent consult with Josh Rubin, he asked me if I'd been taking my Epsom salt baths. I had taken two since we last spoke a few weeks ago.
Compare that with how many times I've told people to take Epsom salt baths to relieve their pain and to replenish minerals. Let's just say "disproportionate".
So, I made a pain in the ass commitment.
I promised to take an Epsom salt bath on my physical therapy days. That's three times per week.
How sad that taking a nice bath is a pain in the ass, but as with anything, with practice we get better. Making time and making the effort to take a bath is inconvenient, but once it becomes a habit it becomes second nature.
I just took a nice hot Epsom salt bath. I actually got down into the tub. That meant that when I got up I'd have to flip over onto my knees and stand from there.
I did it.
Bath #1 accomplished.
Oh, and I feel wonderful. Only took half a pain killer today just before physical therapy. I'm not even sure I really needed it. I will not be taking one tonight.
*Lisa's Video Pick of the Day*
The first half is about hypertension. The second half is about asthma.
Josh now recommends Morton's Pickling Salt rather than Celtic salt.
The minerals in Celtic salt cause inflammation in the gut thereby preventing the absorption of the very minerals we want to get from it!
Take this advice with a grain of salt, Morton's Pickling Salt.
