What I meant by 'Rich'

"Just like planting a seed in the natural

brings an abundant harvest,

planting a spiritual seed

brings an abundant harvest as well...

You will discover that when you refresh others,

you yourself will be refreshed.

That word “refresh” means to restore or revive.

When you reach out to others

to restore them or offer strength to them,

you are planting seeds for your own future.

And there are many ways to refresh others

– a smile, a kind word, a helping hand.

Get in the habit of looking for ways

to be a blessing to other people.

Have a generous attitude,

step out, and refresh others.

As you do, you will have the satisfaction

of living an effective life."
- Joel Osteen

I was talking to a friend today who shared with me a great idea for a project we could work on together. I pointed out that we had already done one really creative thing this week that indicated we would be successful in this new project. I actually said, "Omg we're going to be rich!"

I hope he didn't take that the wrong way.

See, first and foremost, our endeavors are about helping people. We/I truly wish to be a blessing to others, to bring healing and to end suffering.

But I wouldn't mind an increase in material blessing as well (for me and for those I work with).

It's not that I don't have enough, I do. I am happy with exactly what I have. If I never went up another income bracket I would still find contentment and satisfaction in life. I am grateful for what I have in the here and now.

AND...not "but"..And...

I would like to be able to share more abundantly.

I would like a bigger living room with bigger sofas so I can entertain my friends more comfortably.

Bigger living room means bigger TV.

I've always wanted a nice big kitchen with counter space so I could really cook.

More space means more room for sharing, comfort, parties, eating, meetings, doing Tai Chi in my own home, space for animals and people, comfort for my guests.

Less worry about money means more energy for creativity.

Money is energy to fund worthy projects, scholarships, art.

So, yeah, rich is not about me hoarding or having more than others in a competitive way. Rich to me means I'll have more to share. Truly.

We know the laws of increase.

Be grateful for what you have first, then expect favor commensurate with your generosity of heart.

That's the law as I know it.

It's not about stuff. It's more about resources.

I declare blessing and favor over my endeavors and radiate abundance to those I come in contact with.

Richly rich.
